Why This one

a few words from me

Full of flavours, moist cake with crunchy crumbles everyone can do. We all have at-home fruits that have been there for a few days and are less attractive than fresh. They would typically end up in the bin...But with some experiment and adventure, we can create a healthy and tasty dessert. Today, cake is made from bananas, Sharon fruit and nectarines without added sugar. Fruits sweeten the whole cake.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

INGREDIENTS

3 ripe bananas

4 ripe Sharon fruit

250 grams of butter or vegan spread

4 eggs

400 grams self-raising g/f flour

1 tbsp baking powder

2 tbsp custard powder

THE how to make

INstructions

  1. Peel and cut into small pieces bananas and Sharon fruits
  2. Place them in the blender
  3. Add melted margarine or spread
  4. Blend. The mix will look like it is separated but do not worry and carry on
  5. Add eggs and blend
  6. Add baking powder, flour and custard. Blend until you have a smooth consistency
  7. Pour into a baking tray
  8. Place sliced nectarines all over the mix. (Skin down)
  9. Sprinkle crumbs
  10. Bake at 190 C for 25 minutes
